Daddy Yankee, was the first Spanish speaking artist who performed on 'THE LATE LATE SHOW'

The reggaetón artist has been crucial in the development of the genre. I was lucky enough to meet him face-to-face five years ago and I could not believe how close he was to me and to his fans despite being the icon he is. He’s still is a humble person and I think that is one of the reasons of his success.

What started as an underground movement in Puerto Rico, Daddy Yankee turned it into a global movement, and he has not stopped breaking barriers around the world for the Reggaeton genre.
“J Balvin would not exist without a Daddy Yankee,” the Colombian singer said on the stage of Premios Lo Nuestro awards in Miami, after performing ‘Gasolina’ as paying tribute to the Puerto Rican artist.
He has become one of the first Latin artists to perform on the popular show 'The Late Late Show, ’hosted by the British celebrity James Corden broadcasted by CBS,' with his single 'Con Calma.' (Watch the video below)
